Current Position

I am currently leading the Data Management group of the CCLRC e-Science Centre . The group has is based both at CCLRC-Daresbury Laboratory and CCLRC-Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, and currently consists of the following:

• Kevin O'Neill - Deputy Group Leader (RAL) - NERC DataGrid Metadata Developments
• Mike Doherty - Head Database Services - SRB
• Andrew Woolf - NERC DataGrid - Grid Technology and Data Modelling

Our main development work focuses on the CCLRC Scientific Metadata Model, the CCLRC DataPortal software and our collaborative work with the San Diego Super Computing Centre (SDSC) on the Storage Resource Broker. These software tools are applied on a wide range of projects inside and outside of CCLRC.
